Green Tea

Drinking green tea has been linked to health benefits like lower cholesterol, reduced blood-sugar levels and improvements in blood pressure. Studies have linked drinking green tea to boosting the immune system and reducing tooth decay. Known for its high antioxidant content, this beverage has been shown to fight the development of harmful free radicals in the body. Premium brews like Tamaryoku Cha-Kotobuki from Japan are known for containing high concentrations of an antioxidant called EGCG, which is up to 100 times more effective than vitamin C at preventing cellular damage.

Drinking Green Tea Benefits Men's Health

Researchers at the National Cancer Center of Japan recently discovered another benefit of drinking brews like Matcha tea Kikucha, Gyokuro and Kahori. The study found men who drank five or more cups of green tea a day reduced their risk of advanced prostate cancer by up to 50 percent compared to men who drank only one cup of the brew a day. If you have a family history of prostate cancer, you may want to ask your doctor about the benefits of incorporating fresh-brewed green tea leaves into your diet. If you're having trouble slugging down five hot cups a day, try chilling jasmine-infused green tea blends and serving them over ice.
